Lamu is the birthplace of the African Story Snake. A hundred and fifty foot long banner embroidered, beaded and sequined by over 100 people of Lamu and based on the theme "What would we miss most if it was gone forever?" It is primarily a celebratory festival piece and is currently touring the world.
